Police arrested 24 drivers for suspected drunken driving between Jan. 14 and Monday; nine were involved in traffic accidents and two were younger than 21.
Police made 68 suspected DUI arrests in 2013 compared with 67 during the same period in 2012, according to the Hawaii Police Department.
Kona officers arrested 11 motorists, South Hilo officers arrested 10, South Kohala officers arrested two and Hamakua officers arrested one in their districts, according to police.
